On Tuesday, May 27, 2008 the Palwaukee Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol lowered the flag for the last time at its headquarters located at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, IL. One of the oldest Civil Air Patrol squadrons in the country, Palwaukee has been on the field continuously since1942. We have now moved nearby to a new facility at 64 E. Hintz road thanks to the generosity of Mr Rob Hillerich of Future Automotive. This larger facility will increase the operational capabilities of the unit.

Mr. Charles Matthew Schneider, President and CEO of the Sovereign Development Group of Waltham, Massachusetts was in attendance at the ceremony. Sovereign has been selected by Chicago Executive as the developer of the Southeast Quadrant of the airport. A presentation was made by Mr Schneider at our new headquarters on behalf of Sovereign, who has indicated that he looks forward to a “long and beneficial relationship” with the squadron.
