Palwaukee Cadets get close up view of C182 Glass Cockpit

On Thursday 27 Sept eight Palwaukee Composite Squadron Cadets were given their first opportunity for a close up look at the Cessna 182 Glass Cockpit Aircraft. The aircraft has been temporarily stationed at the Chicago Executive Airport for training purposes, so it was very opportune for the cadets to get a look at it. Capt. Joe Long powered up the glass cockpit system and gave the cadets a brief introduction on how it works and how it differs from aircraft with “steam gauge” style instrumentation.

We hope all the eligible Palwaukee cadets can get at least one cadet orientation ride in the “glass” as it is called, before it goes back to Wing.
